THE River Tees is glowing pink tonight, Friday, October 25, in a good cause.
The river was lit up pink between the Princess of Wales Bridge and the Millennium Bridge in Stockton in support of the Breast Cancer campaign’s Wear It Pink day.
Stockton Borough Council installed lights on the Tees as part of its multi-million pound town centre regeneration.
Wear It Pink is Britain’s biggest fundraising campaign to raise awareness and support research into breast cancer.
Councillor Bob Cook, leader of Stockton council, said: “This is a great cause which we are proud to support. I hope people take the time to see the river lit up.”
